From Persephone to Flora explores the ideas of the renewal of seasons and life cycles in relation to the Feminine archetype. In a world mostly dominated by patriarchal values and in denial of death and ageing, it is important to remember that Spring always returns and that we are irremediably linked to the cycles of the universe. The boat of Chiron which brings living souls to the underworld is shown here travelling in the opposite direction. Alongside this, portraits of a young woman grieving encourage us to be hopeful for a new form of communion.

From Persephone to Flora explore l’idée du renouveau des saisons et des cycles de vie en relation avec l’archétype féminin. Dans un monde dominé essentiellement par des valeurs patriarcales et immergé dans le déni de la mort tout comme dans l’obsession de la jeunesse, il est important de rappeler que le printemps revient et que nous sommes irrémédiablement liés aux lois de l’univers. Le bateau de Charon qui conduits les vivants vers le royaume des morts voyage ici en sens inverse et les portraits d’une jeune fille en deuil nous encouragent a penser a une nouvelle forme de communication avec l’être aimé.
